Did you bring in party favors or power tools? Then, no it is not rude to make noises. It is kind of expected.
Now a courtesy flush....that is a different story.

No it is not. What do you think your in there for? For a church service or funeral ? I would say NOT !!!!! Would you rather them wait untill they leave (and if at a resturant) untill they sit back down and they're sitting at the next table ? I thought those rooms were there for one of those purposes.Did you make any noises in there?
What would be rude is if they did it at the table, do you wait untill you're at the table & bear down? (lol). or do we take our meals to the restroom ? I hope not! Regaurdless if you're referring to gas or just making silly noises, making noises in the rest room regaurdless if someone is in the next stall or not is not rude.

What do you mean by noise? Like bodily noise?
I know that when I'm in a bathroom alone and then someone comes in and goes to the stall next to me. I'll try to make a small noise, like shuffling my feet or playing with the toliet paper holder. Don't know why I do it, I just do.

What sort of noise? I wouldn't mind hearing a little humming, or playing with the paper holder, etc. Would even excuse the noise that expelling gas makes, as I know it can't be helped.
Wouldn't like to hear grunting.
Would ask if the person was okay if I heard groaning.

No. Having a good poo is one of the pleasures of life, and if the other person is comfortable with it, it's a pleasure to be shared. I like sharing a two-seater toilet with somebody else, especially a lady. Being self-conscious about sitting on the toilet is an unfortunate hangover from Victorian times.

The rest room is a contemplative place and everyone is entitled to some measure of privacy. I guess it depends on the sounds you are making. I wouldn't sing 'Off we go into the Wild Blue Yonder', though.

It's not rude it's just that it's gross. I would recomend trying to make the smallest sound possible and make some cover up noise like shuffling your feet or tapping lightly on the door.
