The first thing to find out is if your boyfreind has issues with your religion or if he is using his parents as a scapegoat. I happen to be Baptist and my husband is Muslim. There is also a 15 year age difference. Fortunately for us our parents respect our relationship enough to allow us to be who we are and support us as their children. What we want ...they want for us.
If his parents are true to their beliefs... they might be hesitant for their son to be involved with a religion they know so little of. Each religion is based on it's own spiritual foundation. His parents may like you but just not want you involved with their son.
If you don't know if he is telling the truth...ask him. Tell him to be honest with you so there will be no question in the future. If you can't trust him, the relationship will certainly fail. Most are based on trust and honesty. Throw in some respect and accountability too.
Sometimes you must love someone enough to let them go. I am sure you are a beautiful woman with many interests and prospects for relationships. Love takes time. Stay in your purpose and all will be well.
Take him back only if you are willing to allow him to be who he is.
