If they are going Dutch, then each diner should pay for their own meals seperately. Ask for seperate checks.

50/50 does not always come out equitably.

Weight is not a factor because thinner people can eat too. I am relatively slender and I can "put it away".

Personally, I do not like "Dutch". I prefer to swap who pays. I would prefer it to always be ME paying because I am old-fashioned, however, I am po' so I cannot always do that.

Split the check 50/50. What's "the weight of the dating participants" go to do with anything?

You sound like a skinny guy chasing a chubby girl and looking for a cheap way to go Dutch. The easiest is to just split down the middle 50/50. The only other sane alternative is to identify what each of you ate and bill them for it. That would not make for a very happy date..

50/50 is what the term Dutch Treat means. Just don't ask me how it got started. ~

50/50 if both eat about the same, I guess. If you have someone eating three main courses, then they should definitely pay for their share if not go all the way and pay for everything.
Mind you, going "dutch" is european, they don't normally eat as much as americans do.

If you go Dutch, each person should pay separately for what they ate or participated in - for example, if it's a dinner & movie date, each person pays for their own dinner & drinks, and then each person pays separately for the movie. That's the true meaning of 'Dutch'.

that's what dutch means , each pays for their own, so if someone orders something expensive , he/she gets to pay for it by him/herself.

50/50 only happens when you've been good friends for longer than a couple of dates.

When you go dutch, you pay for whatever you ordered and he pays for his. If you agree to split the bill ..er ...I don't know what that is called.
