i have a Texas Instruments TI-83 plus calculator that works fine. but if i am doing trigonometry it gives me the wrong answer.. for example when i pres TAN -- 60 IT GIVES ME 0 INNSTEAD OF1.732508.
AND WHEN I PRESS 2ND --TAN 0.9004) IT GIVES ME 1 how can i fix this? i also have a casio fx-300 MS calculator that still malfunctions.. what can i do about this?

Make sure you are in degree mode, and in FLOAT mode. You could be in 0 not FLOAT

prees the button next to the on button then press until it says sci grad etc and press the no next to the graad eg it is 2 then press = and ur done and press = again to complete hope that helps this fix is for the casio by the way

Check the mode, and make sure it is in degrees.

it seems like you are pressing the keys in wrong sequence. check the manual again.
