My daughter started her eating disorder at about six years old. She began saying she thought she was fat.

She began vomiting, periodically, and there was no cause for it, so we later discovered she was doing it when we weren't looking.

We got her past it, by watching her everytime she ate. We did not let her know we knew. She'd eat and then excuse herself to go to the restroom. Then, she'd return, drink some liquid, and excuse herself from the table. If she couldn't go right away, she'd look agitated.

We deliberately had the bathroom "occupied" or would discuss issues with her for about an hour after dinner. Finally, she stopped having the urge to vomit so bad.

Often, kids who don't feel in control of their lives, start controlling their eating, so they have some mechanism of control.

I really hope this helps.

Does she throw up a lot or gag on her food? Has she lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time? Does she push the food around her plate to make it appear that she is eating something? Has her menstrual cycle stopped? These are some signs to look for in your child.

Check her computer. There are websites that encourage anorexia and bulimia.

Take her to the doctor or have a counselor speak with her. There are signs though: eating in secret, rapid weight loss, going to the bathroom immediately after eating, chronic bad breath and tooth decay, obsessive exercising. The sites below may help. God Bless.

Ive heard its the comparable thought with drugs, your physique has to administration, it relatively is your way of your physique coping.
