Take 8 Large tomatoes, and cut into quarters, add to a large pan and cover with two pints of made up veg stock, add sea salt and black pepper, and a good squirt of tomato paste.
When the tomatoes are well cooked let them cool off a little and add a medium pot of double cream and then blend into a smooth mixture and put back on a low heat for five minutes. then serve !.

This can blow the cobwebs out! I make it for people who are sick and off their food. It seems to get their appetite back!
Warm olive oil in a pan. Add a teaspoon of ginger puree and garlic puree and 1 green chillie sliced thinly. Quickly add a tin good quality Italian plum tomatoes. Break up tomatoes adding salt, pepper, a teaspoon of sugar and a dash of malt vinegar.
Anyway thats my secret...

like boytrev said it is the gastrid that makes the soup you just boil up vinegar and sugar until it is almost caramelised then add it to the soup, it is also really good if you are a bit full of cold as the smell of it boiling will clear your nose
