Okay so here is my sad story. I was driving down Ortega highway which is a 45 mph zone then it changes to 40. There was a truck a little bit a head of me to the right. And he had a dog in the back bed. I had just heard about dogs jumping out of trucks and people hitting them. So I started to speed up to get away from the truck. So I’m almost to the onramp to the freeway and I get pulled over.
So I was thinking about telling the cop about the dog and how I was scared but I figured he wouldn’t believe me. So im figuring he clocked me rite when I was going around the truck with the dog. On top of everything I was late for a job interview and I think I may have been in a double fine zone. So I pretty much had a really bad day yesterday.

-I live in Orange County California.
-The amount is not on the ticket. There isn’t a case number on it either.
-I tried calling the place but I don’t think there is an actually person there until Monday.
-Mickey ~ You rite I should have slowed down but I chose not to. I made the wrong decision, a decision in which I have to pay for.

The fine is determined by the amount over the speed limit you were clocked at, so 64-40=24 then 24 x $$.$$ the cost per mph your state charges per mph over the spped limit i.e. 24 x $10.00=$240.00 plus the points on your lisence and then the cost of your future insurance premium, because now you are considored a high risk driver according to the actuaries who determine insurance cost at insurance companies.... Talk about a snowball affect!

Depends on where it happened. What state, what part of the state, etc. But it should say on the back, and/or provide a number where you can get that information. If this is a first offense in your case, or something rare for you, I would definitely recommend plea-bargaining so as to at least get fewer points and possibly avoid the increase in insurance premiums.

Sorry, yet he grow to be rushing. He must have suggested as the law enforcement officials on the undesirable driver. extra be conscious on your remark: What makes you imagine he can get out of the cost ticket? I really doubt if we are getting the completed tale the following. you're saying he grow to be doing 24 miles over the speed reduce, and they finger printed him??? That basically would not sound actual. in the adventure that they did not arrest him, what grow to be he doing on the station getting finger printed? A criminal record for twenty-four miles over the speed reduce? i do no longer purchase it.

Instead of speeding why didn;t you SLOW down and back off from the truck??
Your lucky you didn't get locked up for endangerment. next time leave early, do the speed limit, and you'll still have your money.
You can tell the judge why you were speeding, but I have a feeling he/she will tell you the same thing.

usually the speeding fine is $10.00 per every mile per hr. but even if you would have told the officer your concerns he probably wouldn't of believed you anyway. he probably would have told you to quit believing everything you hear and see on the tele. so i think you did the right thing

I'm sorry about your ticket. The amount of the fine should be stated on the ticket itself.
