My hair is extremely thick (I like the thickness) and it is rough. I am fine with my hair regarding the texture and other stuff. I just need it a bit more longer length. Nothing chemical. Just home remedies and diet suggestions plz.

Get the tiniest bit trimmed off the ends on the new moon which this month is Feb 17. New Moon = New growth.

When you want your haircut to last longer and not grow, trim it on the full moon. People have been using moon phases for centuries and it seems to work.

High Protein Scalp Conditioner

This high-protein, all-natural hair conditioner will help to dislodge any debris or pollution that may be clogging the tiny openings in your scalp.

This conditioner will open the tiny openings for better passage of nutrients into your hair. This scalp conditioner also enriches the hair, helping to make it stronger and more lustrous.

Blend together, preferably in an electric blender:

1. 250 ml (1 cup) fresh skimmed milk
2. 1 egg yolk (separated from the egg white)
3. 2 capsules of wheat germ oil contents (you may have to open up capsules & squeeze the contents out)
4. 1 tablespoon of fresh wheat germ
5. The contents of 1 tablespoon of lecithin granules (you may need to open capsules)
6. 1 tablespoon natural wheat brain (available in bulk also)

Note: You may find all of the above ingredients at a health food store. It is unlikely that your local grocery store will carry most of the ingredients other than the milk and eggs.
Instructions

Slowly and firmly massage the mixture into your scalp. Leave the mixture on for about 10 minutes. If you cover your head with a shower cap or you drape a towel around your head and lie on a slant board while the conditioner does its work, you will benefit even more because of the gravity effect.

After 10 minutes, thoroughly rinse the conditioner from your hair with warm (not hot) water. Follow with your usual shampoo and conditioner.

I often apply any home hair recipes in the bathroom, wrap my head in a shower cap, plastic wrap or a towel and then step into a nice aromatherapy bath and soak for 10-15 minutes.

This prevents me from dripping around the house, allows me the luxury of a nice bath...and makes it easier to just shower when I am finished.

Well, my hair is extremely thick and curly. The other day I bought a hair straightener, 2" wide, and it's one that you can use when you're hair is actually WET. It straightens and dries your hair and it probably the best product I've boughten in years, no joke. It lengthened my hair by ATLEAST 5 inches, if not more.

No chemicals, no gels, nothing. If you do it when you're hair is wet, it comes out smooth and silky - this coming from someone who's spent all her life with the most frizziest hair you can imagine. I'm obsessed with the damn thing now!

I have heard several different methods for faster hair growth, but these are the ones that have been most effective for me, by experience:

1. Take vitimins (especially with protiein). You can find them in nearly any health store. Some are labeled "healthy hair growth" etc.
2. Use high quality salon producs on a daily basis. Better shampoos, conditioners, serums, and other styling products will be gentler on hair and will allow it to grow faster. (Especially look for products that are specific to your hair type... "for dry, damaged hair", "for colored hair" etc.).
3. Be kind to your hair, and aviod using hot tools and chemical treatments (hair dye, perm, etc) that will damage your ends and scalp.
