not without an inline fuse and a switch otherwise your amp will drain your battery dead

the purpose of the "rem" which stands fore remote is to turn the amp off when you turn off your car. if you hook it strait to the battery, it will constantly be on reslulting in short amp life and a dead battery every morning..

find a ignition-switched wire with a voltmeter. You can use that as the remote.
