It should be a love song of meaning to you and your spouse. I think it is so much more personal that way and means more.

Go with the song that means the most to the both of you: "Your Song." It will mean something to you, and the first dance is reserved for the bride and groom. Only the two of you know what "your song" is.
If "your song" is difficult to dance to, then you might get some ideas from a ballroom dance school. It might be fairly inexpensive to take the few lessons needed for just that song, and ballroom dancing can be very cool nowadays, especially at weddings.
As far as non-cheesy love songs go, I happen to favor the few romantic ballads produced by Whitesnake.
But this is your wedding, not ours.
Blessings to the both of you!

We had Shania Twain - Still The One. We picked this song cause when we got togther we had quite a few people interfere (jealous people), telling us things wouldn't work etc, especially his green eyed sister! This song is all about making it in the end and and still being the one for each other - we found it very fitting.
Others we used through our civil ceremony were;
Gabrielle - Dreams, as I came down the isle
Savage Garden - Truely Madly Deeply, signing the register
The sweetest feeling - for when we left the ceremony.
For our video we used sugar babes - too lost in you.
Other nice ones are You do something to me or for a very non cheesy one - Coldplay Yellow

How about the 007 theme tune "Nobody does it better"! "If this world were mine" another great song by Luther Van Dross I think. Excuse me if I've spelt the great man's name wrong. Good luck with the wedding. It is very important to get the right song coz it's on the video/dvd recording for the rest of your lives as are your groovy moves. Take care and happy wedded lives.

For something classy but different, try Somewhere over the Rainbow by the Hawaiian singer Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole off the "Alone in IZ World" album (or Mona Lisa, which is also a wonderful version).

The Carpenters - We've Only Just Begun. Lovely song, will have all the guests swaying along to it, and the words are very relevant too.
Good luck, hope you have a super wedding!
