I have a epson stylus 3800 all in one unit, I would like to scan a group of papers into my computer and edit them in MS Word, Please any body have a solution, do I need software/ freeware or my scan program automatically converts it to a pdf. file , but I cant edit text. what am I doing wrong????

You need a scanner that uses OCR (Optical Character Resolution). If your printer/scanner offers this, look for it in the options/settings when you go to scan the document in. After scanning, try saving the document as .DOC or .RTF. Depending on the scanner, however, you have have to edit the document in the software provided by the scanner first.
