Check any sites on Serbian history in addition to Kosovo. Serbian history places the nation's origin to a battle on the "Field of Blackbirds" which lies in modern Kosovo. Kosovo while offcially part of Serbia is >90% ethnic Albanians....

Stay away from Serbiana.com there is nothing truthfull posted there all venomous lies and half truth to glorify Serbian genocide. Anyone who disagrees with theiir views is either Jewish or pro-American.
A unbiased source would be Noel Malcolms book titled "KOSOVO" a brieg history.
