I met my boyfriend Greg 9 months ago. And we totally hit it off from the beginning. But before any emotions got too involved we both agreed that we were just going to have have fun with each other while he was here. You see he doesn't live in this country, he just came to visit family and take care of some buisness for 6 months.
But of course things don't always happen how one plans and we both fell head over heels. The 6 months was the best time that I have ever spent with any one in my life. We literally had everything in common. So how could something so good be bad you ask? Well, what worries me is the fact that he is a singer and lead guitarist in a popular rock band that has already made it big in his country and will soon be touring around for a while.
I love this guy more than anyone that I have ever loved before, but are we setting each other up for some major heartache? Between his schedual and mine, we will probably not be able to see each other at all?
What do I do????

Try as hard as you can! If you love him and he loves you, then it's worth it.
I met my bf in pretty much the same circumstances! He's American, i'm French and we met when I was working there. We just thought we would be dating while I was there, but it's been over a year and we're still together. We see each other every now and then, I'm doing my last year of studies and I'm moving to the US next summer! It worked out great even if we didn't plan that this way!
Hold on to it if you think it's worth it. Believe me!

Long distance relationships can be very hard. I was in one for almost 2 years. We saw each other every few months. You do miss them a lot especially if you love each other. But if you really see a future with this guy then it's worth a shot. Try it out for a few months and if it gets too hard.. you can break it off and say that the distance is too much to handle. Hopefully you guys can make arrangements to fly to see each other. Otherwise, there are really great sites out there to help you cope with the distance to keep your relationship strong. Google it. =D

You honestly need to believe that it will work out. If you think it's going to fail than it likely will, but if you think positively you may be surprised what will happen. I've been with my current bf for 8 months now and we too are in a long distance relationship. Ive found over time that in order for LDR to work you really must trust the one you love and they must do the same. I guess it's essential to also build a strong foundation. Since you can't see your bf a lot, it's very important to communicate back and forth...call him a lot or send him email msgs all the time..do whatever you need to do to show him your love and hopefully he will reciprocate that...good luck and i hope it works out for you

Long Distance relationships NEVER WORK
While you are separated from each other
opportunity presents itself
And one of you will take the opportunity

Be greatful for the time you had with him and move on. however, remember what you liked about him and try to find that in a future partner that you can actually spend time with. good luck
