If you mean child car seat, that would be about 8 pounds for an infant carrier (without the base), about 15-20 pounds for a convertible seat (the kind that are good from birth to 40 or 65 pounds), and about 9 pounds for a belt positioning booster seat. There can be the difference of a pound or two among infant seats, which you carry the most, obviously, but stick a 10-15 pound baby in there, and they ALL feel heavy!

That's a loaded question, simply because it depends on several variables..."older" bucket seats (manual) can weigh upwards of 40-50 pounds apiece, while "newer" ones on smaller cars may be ten pounds less.
Complete bench seats can be anywhere from 60 pounds for an intermediate size car, to almost 100 pounds for big cars, and "motorized" adds 20 or more pounds to that...
REAR seats are almost invariable put together in two parts, the "seat", and the "seat back"...the lower part can be 10 or 15 pounds, while the upper "back" can be around 15 or 20...

It all depends on what kind of seat. Some fairly simple seats in hatchbacks will be fairly light, but in bigger (especially luxury) cars they are a lot heavier. Modern luxury car seats have built in motors for adjustment and for the "massage" function. They also have heater elements in the seats and air ducting on some.
I imagine the car seat would weigh between 15kg-70kg
(33-154 lbs) covering this range of vehicles.
If you are looking to make your car lighter for racing there are several options on the market. By doing away with the luxuries of regular seats, racing seats can save a lot of weight. Typically a bucket (non-adjustable) seat weighs around 10kg (22 lbs) but by using exotic materials (carbonfibre/ kevlar or a mix of the two) this can be brought down to less than 3kg (6.6lbs). The basic bucket seat is not too costly (£100+), but for the ones that are made using Carbonfibre can cost a lot more (over £1000).

30lb at a guess. I've lifted quite a few. This estimate incudes the rail and tilt mechanism. Arm rest may add a pound. Airbag & pretensioner included.
