There is no legal reason they cant give the money back, computers dont rule the world, they entered the information so they can remove it. If the pet store owner knew anything about dogs!! as soon as it was coughing it should of been checked for kennel cough that is usually why pups cough and can be fatal, as you now know. If you didnt sign any legal agreement saying you would pay for the pup regardless of condition she shouldnt have a leg to stand on. You need to check your local laws though. If anything the pet store should have to pay all the vet bills. but every city/state is different?? also some of pet stores will get pups from poor breeders for cheap and hike up the price, or get them from mills. You are probably a lot better off getting a dog from a rescue, many time they have full blooded dogs and full blooded pups? look on petfinder you can search by age, breed, location all of that and they wont send you home a sick dog and if something was wrong with the dog it is fixed but the adoption fee usually stays the same and i have never seen a $1,000 adoption fee average is $250 or less.

I've seen them in Wal-Mart and I think Target or K-Mart might have them also. I know the local Wal-Mart here has several kinds of chia pets. Good luck finding one.

look around the dollar type stores, seen them there. big lots (odd lots) might carry them as well.
