Yes, and no. Government grant i.e. Pell grants don't no matter what university, but financial aid from the University may be different. This depend on how big the institution is and how much money they have to use to give to students.

In most cases, the answer is yes in most cases. However, it depends on the EFC of the individual college student, and it is also known as Expected Family Contribution. On the other hand, the financial aid package is adjusted to the individual college student's tuition at the university or college. I do recommend using a variety of free sources also to locate tuition help.

First, fill out the FAFSA form. It will help tap into need based financial aid from the state and federal governments along with the college itself. The form became available on January 1 for the fall semester or quarter. It will also enable an individual to get involved with the work study program which will bring both experience and money.

Second, the high school guidance office can provide a list of local scholarships to apply for consideration to current high school students.

Third, the college's financial aid office and website has a list of private scholarships offered from outside organizations and companies. Sometimes a college major's website will list scholarships, too.

Fourth, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites. There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website.

Good luck!

Do you get more money at different colleges? Absolutely!

Every college has different amounts of scholarship funding available and different criteria for who gets it. Some schools focus on the student's financial need, some schools focus on academic merit. This information is usually available at the school's website in the financial aid section.

Yes, the financial aid you receive depends on how much the school you are attending costs, among other things. You get more if you attend a university because a university costs more.

I don't know about more money for the same job, but I think some of the better universities offer a lot more options to obtain skills that might help you obtain a better job. However, you have to plan on using those oppotunities, or don't waste your money.
