well - define 'cult'.
Are we talking cult like the John Birch Society or the Branch Davidians or the ones that sit up in the Rockies and wave snakes around like nobody's business thinking they're not going to get bit...or are we talking a more broad cult that basically (according to the Christians) would be against Christianity...like Islam, Buddhism or any of those?
You don't hear much about cults like you did back in the 60's and that. In the 60's we had the Krishna's, the Bah'ai's, the Moonies (which are still around today to some extent), but those are all groups you don't hear much about anymore.
However, I will give you one that I think is a serious problem, and more and more people are falling for it, is this "Word Faith" thing that all the mega-church types are into these days. It's all about the mighty dollar and how many digits your pastor can take down - and what sports arena you can get into and all that kind of stuff.
Hey - do we all remember Heaven's Gate?? I'm out...

You want 10? That's asking for alot!
1. The Church of the Subgenius. The One True Path. The only cult that admits it is a cult. The only cult that is also an anti-cult. The only cult that encourages it's members to rebel against it. That's Honesty!
2. Christianity. Middle Eastern extremist death cult that worships a Hanged God, gleefully anticipates the End of the World, and condemns all other spiritual beliefs.
3. Islam. Middle Eastern extremist cult that codemns all other spiritual paths and oppresses females.
4. Scientology. Gaining more attention through the efforts of celebrities.

The top ten cults can be identified with a question. Do they reject the power of the cross?
Scientology doesn't acknowledge the cross. Some call the cross foolish. Some devalue it saying salvation is by works and not what Jesus did on the cross alone.

Islam - a deceiving, murdering, raping, child molesting, self-appointed false prophet is whom they follow. The lone voice of allah. Attracts the weak, lost, misguided, angry people just like a cult or gang is supposed to do.
Scientology - another made-up-by-one-man belief. They follow the teachings of a sci-fi writer and pay thousands of dollars to clean themselves up and reach higher levels? Who knows.
Jesus is The Truth. Other beliefs are incomplete, such as Judaism, or false.
May God Bless you.

I don't know ten,or how finely to divide them, but Churchianity would include Catholic, protestant, evangelical, etc. There are two choices. You can accept the Creator YHVH and the Messiah YAHOSHUA, or you can join a cult. Does that clarify things a little. In Ex 23:13 we are told not to use pagan names.
