Buy Nothing. Make something for them. Cookies, home made candy, brownies. Make a card and personlize it. Give something to charity in their name. Anything personal. Just tell them they mean a lot to you. That's usually the best.
Personlly, I have been with the same man for the last 21 years and we have never really given gifts to one another. It never seemed to be important. We gave each other the most precious gifts possible, our hearts. BTW, We are both 38. Yes we started young. :)

I honestly think that you don't really need to buy someone anything to show them that you love them. Why don't you instead devote some time with that special someone or maybe if you do want to spend a little money go for a dinner date. Hope this helps

If someone means a lot to you, you've probably spent enough time with them to know their likes/dislikes/interests... I'd buy something I knew would mean a lot to them - perhaps something they've spoken about without ever imagining you'd get it for them, or something to do with a hobby/interest... I think that a present is really a way of showing someone that you've been listening to them, and really hearing what they say.

I don't think you need to buy something to show someone they mean a lot to you. But if you want to buy something thoughtful, you could get something that shows you like to spend time with them and are interested in them. If they like music, you could get concert tickets. If they like to go out to eat, take them out to dinner. Something that shows an interest in them, it doesn't matter how much it costs.

You shouldn't have to buy anything! But if you are determined to spend money, a card can sometimes say it all, there are alot that can express how you feel for someone.

Handmake something for them!

Maybe handmake a little kid picture frame with popsicle sticks and decorate the sticks with doodles or stickers, and put your favorite picture of you two together in it.

Something from the heart always stands out from something in the store.

If you have to buy something(material) to how you love someone, then thats not love thats a show.
Talk and hugs are more effective than material things.

You don't have to buy them anything . Simply tell them how much they mean to you .. They will appreciate that more than a gift they may or may not like .

you can not buy anything... its obvious... if you cares, then your eyes should tell him/her about your feelings.
nyway, just plan a romantic date(should be a surprise) and offer him, what he liked most, meanwhile try telling him that what is your feeling toward him/her.
Thats all :)
