There is no other religion in the world whose book commands its followers to kill the non-believers. In the light of what the book says and the actions of millions of the followers, is it reasonable to call it a religion of peace???
What the book says:

The actions of its followers in Thailand, Pakistan, Somalia, Palistine, Iraq, Ethiopia, India, Yeman, Dagestan, Bangladesh, Chad, Algeria, Turkey, Sudan, Jordan, Chechnya, Indonesia, etc, etc:

If the majority of muslims really want peace, then they should get out in very sizeable numbers to protest the terror. After all, there are 1.6 billion or so followers in this world.

I am usually not one to quote scripture. But in light of the history of Islam (going back to how the religion caused the crusades) and supported by current events. I believe Jesus warned us:
Matthew 7:
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
