Your bird will fluff his feathers up,as if to keep warm. he will sit low on the perch, eyes closed, looking dejected. There may also be "tail flicking". Sleeping more, quieter than is normal for your bird.
Changes to your birds droppings is also something you should look for. ANY change in your birds normal behaviour should be cause for concern. If your bird shows any signs of illness, keep him VERY warm. Keeping your bird warm is very important!! See a vet immediately.Birds need PROMPT attention from a vet within 24 hours to ensure a good chance of survival.

Well, the major sign is that there will be discharge from his eyes or nose....That defanately means they are sick. Remember that birds are very vulnerable, and they hide thier sickness very well. Also, they will sit or pace on the bottom of the cage...That could be a sign too. Birds usually like high places, and for them to stay on the bottom is "un-natural". Their poop will be runny, or a different color from what it usually is, if its runny, or abnormal, you need to take him or her to a vet. All those are really good signs that your bird is sick. If those happen, you need to take him to a vet asap.

When he is all fluffed up at the bottom of is cage with his eyes closed or squinted. Also, if his tail bobbing up and down or if he has very runny stools or discharge from his nostrils. Also, if he is not eating. If you suspect that your bird is sick get him to a avian vet immediately. It doesn't take long for a bird to go down.

If ur bird is loud it will stop and it won't play around in the cage and look all happy. Also the bird won't eat much if any thing.
