What comes to mind is how the Bible is true when it says that there will be those who won't believe God exists. Their reasons vary but their statement doesn't alarm me or make me mad because I know (as the Bible teaches) that mankind is basically sinful. In our natural state the last thing we want to acknowledge is that a loving God exists because it means we are not the ones who are in the control.

Well I was an Atheist for 20 years so I understand. I had to come face to face with Jesus to believe. It took a lot of things to get me to that point. So I just see it as the old me when someone says "GOD doesn't exist."

I wish that, for their sake, they did believe in God. No matter what your religion, it can be such a comfort to know that there is more than just what is here on this earthly plane. I don't care what a person believes, but it makes me sad that people who do not believe in God will never have that comfort of knowing that someone loves them no matter what they will ever do.

I believe that He does exist but I know there is no proof. I don't think anything really other than I don't see it that way. God does not care if anyone believes or not, in my opinion.

I think they don't have all the facts.
So many former atheists are now Christians including C.S. Lewis who wrote many christian apologetic books. And Lee Stroble who was a former investigative reporter for Chicago Tribune and atheists. Now he's a born again Christian. What did the educated men learn in their investigation that changed them? They both set out to prove Christianity wrong.

Either their ignorance or hatred towards God. It is not a good thing because it sends people to eternal judgment!

What comes to mind is their courage to see the world in terms of logic and rational thinking. Realizing that the only way to understand the world and ourselves is through observing the world and ourselves. Realizing that morals and values are from ourselves only, and hold true meaning. One doesn't kill out of fear of punishment from a diety, but out respect for the life of others, or of fear of punishment from others, or seeing it as an affront to our intellegence and wisdom.

I'm an atheist and I think you don't need to get drawn into debates by making such statements. Disbelieving is sufficient.
