My boyfriend and I might break up and it's all my friend's fault. My friend doesn't want me to have a boyfriend and she won't talk to me and she calls me names and tells bad stuff about me to other people behind my back. If I give up my boyfriend, she'll be my friend again, but then that means I'll lose my boyfriend! If I have a boyfriend, I'll lose my best friend. I don't know what to do!!!! I tell her that she's not in charge of my life, but she won't listen! Any suggestions?

How can you possibly call this person a friend?
If she would be a real friend she would understand your needs.Things like "do this and i'll be your friend" don't work.I recommand not to give up your boyfriend cuz you might regret it later.

If your friend will only be your friend if you don't have a boyfriend, then she isn't a friend. Friends don't treat friends like that. It sounds like she is jealous and is using friendship as a way to get you to break up with him. I would say keep your boyfriend and find another best friend.

If she's that mad about you having a boyfriend, she really doesn't sound like a great friend. If she doesn't have a bf, she might just be jealous.

Yeah your friend really isn't your friend. If she were you wouldn't have to be choosing between her and your boy friend! Tell her to find a new friend and get lost !
