Well, she knows she's losing her virginity because she knows if she had sex before !!!
As for the guy, you can not see all the time, I mean, sometimes the girl bleeds, sometimes not, it just depends. But it usually hurts for everybody at first, so that's maybe the best way to tell. And her vaginas muscle is really contracted too.
Good luck for the first!!!

Sometimes a woman will bleed a small amount when her hymen tears, and sometimes she will not. If the hymen was intact before then it will be visible that it is now torn. But many women tear their hymen by simple exercise such as riding a bike or day to day activities, or commonly by using a tampon for her menstrual period so in this case, there will be no visible difference and she may or may not bleed. A woman knows she has "lost her virginity" when a penis has penetrated her vagina, whether a small bit or all the way.

well it can be painful and not such a great experience the first time because the hymen is still intact. But that is just the physical part. Emotionally if affects you. You kind of lose your innocence. things are never the same after that. it would be beautiful if it was someone you were in love with and were going to spend the rest of your life with...but really at 14 that just isn't the case. No matter how much your in love it isn't real at that age. Please just hold on to your youth, act your age and be a kid as long as you can!! enjoy the teenage years without the complications of sex.

Nothing happens when you lose your virginity except a small bubble in your vagina being popped, which is where the expression "popping the cherry" comes from. When you have your first sex, you lose your virginity. There's not really anything else, you just know.
