Apparently you can buy it from almost every retailer out there. Shocking, eh ?

Microsoft Word is a software program that you have to PAY for. If you want it, you have to purchase it from a Microsoft retailer. Unless if came with your PC, then you should have a CD that came with it that you can use to reinstall word to repair it.

If you were never provided a CD, then you probably have an illegal copy of word. if it doesn't work, simply uninstall it using the Add/Remove Programs icon located inside your Control Panel.

Two programs are already on your computer:
Notepad is very generic, but it works well for a basic text editor.
Wordpad is like Word but doesn't have most of the extra features like spell check.

You can find these in your start menu under Accessories.

If you absolutely need a word processing program but don't want to pony up the $199 for Word, then download OpenOffice from Sun. It's free and will give you everything Word has - without breaking any laws. :-)

If you don't want to download anything, you can use Google's new online word processing program. You'll need to sign up for a free google account to use it, but you can create, edit, and save your documents online.

Do you mean "Does anyone know how to get Microsoft Word 2003?" Actually, no, you have to BUY it. What you should consider is Open Office. It is free. It does everything Microsoft Office does. In addition, it will work with Word and Excel documents.

You can get it at:

http://www.openoffice.org/

What else could you ask for?

Are we to assume you loaded the original Microsoft Office from a purchased disk.

If so there is a key number and using that you can UNINSTALL your present corrupted Office and re-install it.

Failing that you could use any purchased Office disk and JUST install WORD 2003 from it.

And WORD 2002 is not all that different and will do everything that 2003 does. I have it and use it daily.

You can download it in some cases, but they'd be broken copies.. Best bet is to shell out the $$$ to get it from stores.

I doubt that you can get it on line for free. This software is for sale at office supply houses.
