I thought I heard somewhere that it is possible for 2 friends to marry, not as husband and wife, or husband and husband, or wife and wife, or whatever...but under different vows....as friends forever-until death do you part. If so, are the benefits the same as a traditional marriage? haha. I thought I heard this somewhere a while ago but I can't remember and now it's bothering me.

You could have a "friend" ceremony.
But there are no legalities involved i.e. a marriage license, legal rights to property, tax benefits.
It's just a ceremony; like becoming 'blood brothers' when you were children.

I have never heard of this, and I doubt that it is a valid marriage. I mean you aren't married in the terms of having a sexual and commited relationship.
