My nightmares went away once I started balancing my blood sugar, after being diagnosed hypoglycemic. My suggestion would be to eat a snack before bedtime, like 1 oz of tuna in mayonnaise and a cookie, or an egg and a cookie. Or anything that is protein with a bit of carbohydrate. Also good is whatever protein you want and a handful of almonds or sunflower seeds. I try to eat soy nuts, myself.

For more info on why this might be occuring, you may want to check out www.hufa.org.

I hope this will help you sleep easier.

Ouch, I am very sorry to hear that... I used to have nightmares, but I have an idea why they are gone now... When I broke up with my girlfriend the nightmares were the most intensive... But as time passed also the nightmares were slowly dissapearing... But there is something more. I don't know if you believe in this stuff but some very evil people can cause you to have nightmares. I don't care if you believe in magic or no but there are ways to cause someone to suffer, and usually they are nightmares... After I discovered that my uncles wife wants to destroy my life, I destroyed all gifts I got from her. I made sure I have no items in my house that she gave me... And the nightmares stopped totally...

I'm from Bosnia and stuff like this is very common in everyday life. I heard Africa is even worse...

Occasionally I'll have nightmares for a week and then I won't dream again for months. I think it's just something you have to wait out.
You should be careful of what you eat and watch/listen to/read at night. If you are concerned you could go see a therapist.

There are ways to control your dreams. I go to book store or the library and look their. I have really bad night mares but that is because of my past I ended up talking to my doctor because I was losing sleep over it ( I stay up and not sleep out of fear of what I see then I when I did sleep it was worst).

You can learn to control your dreams. Think about something pleasant and keep that in your mind while you are falling asleep.
