Jared - I liked this name from the time I was a bout 15 years old (many, many years ago). I always hoped I would name a son Jared if i ever had one. When I met the man I eventually married, he asked me (well not right away) what names I liked for children. He told me he really liked the named Jared! So, ten years after we were married, we had a boy and named him Jared. (Jared means Ruler or Descendant)
Three years later we had a girl and named her Stephanie (which means "Crowned One" - which I guess is why she always wanted to be a princess!)
The female version of the name Stephen.
Acts 6:5
This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism.
Genesis 5:15
When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared.

There's none that I particularly like or can think of at this moment anyway.
But I was named Rachel after the story about Jacob, Leah, and Rachel from Genesis 29-30 from my dad's hope that my future husband would love me enough to work for me like Jacob did, or something of the sort. You'd have to ask him.
So many have great meanings. If you're trying to name a baby, I would suggest buying a biblical names book, less pages to search through.
I like John and Isaiah. I think those names are thought of in a powerful way and they have a history.

I've always liked the names Jonathan and David because of the deep friendship that they had together.
Jonathan knew that God annointed David to be the next King of Israel and rather than look at him like a rival, he warmly welcomed him into his family and even risked his life to comfort him. (1 Sam 18:1,3; 23:16-18)
David himself never treated Jonathan like a second-class citizen but mourned when he died and took care of his some Mephibosheth. (2 Sam 1:17-27;4:4; 9:10-13 )
Jonathan = Jehovah has given; David = Beloved

I really like Hannah for a girl. Hannah became the mother of the prophet Samuel.
1 Samuel, chapter 1
As for a boy, I think Isaiah, Jeremiah and Daniel are good, and of course they were prophets as well and each were inspired to pen the Bible books bearing thier names.

Hannah(the mother of Samuel) said "it is from God that I have asked him"
For a girl: Abigail (I Samuel 25:23)
I like both names because they a both strong people in the Bible.
Abigail is a beautiful name.

For a girl, my favorite Biblical name is Ruth, even though it is a bit old fashioned. One of my inspirations as a woman is the story of Ruth and her mother in law Naomi, whom Ruth followed out of love for Naomi and Naomi's God, Jehovah. See all 4 chapters of the book of Ruth, and how Ruth's loyalty and love paid off for her in the longrun.
For a boy, it's Joshua. One of my favorite scriptures in the Bible is from Joshua 24:15, where Joshua declares that "as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah!"
