It depends on the hand off, but if you hand off before the line, the first person runs the least and the last person runs the most. If you hand off after the finish line, the first person runs the least and the last person runs the most.

As per the title of 4x200 you are all supposed to run the same, however what tends to happen is that most people when they come to change over the baton do so just after the line, so the first runner runs slightly further Say 203m, the middle 2 about the same amount 200m and the final runner the least about 197m. However the difference is so minimal, only a couple of meters that it is basically irrelevant
Hope this helps

you all run 200m, but the 1st/lead off runner must run in their lane all the way around and hand off after the start line again in their lane so I would say the 1st runner, 2nd runner is allowed to cut in after the corner/receiving the baton and hands off at the start line to 3rd runner, etc,etc so 2,3,4 are running slightly less.

same, its just like a few yards for the baton change
i mean like after the last handoff, everyone goes to the inside track, its easier.

the outside lanes run longer and the inside lanes are shorter. that is why they stagger the startline
