In restraints its OK but at home in ordinary food Not really.........but if we want to make something special we use little bit more oil because of this the gravy of vegetable comes out very nice in colour and taste.

It depends how you cook it--The restaurants usually make it in oil and cream, etc...becasue using fatty ingredients is a sure-fire way to make things taste good--But when people prepare items at home--they do not have to use fatty ingredients--it is easy to make vegetables and breads with very little oil and even less spices...If you are ordering from a restaurant you can specifically ask for less oil but they have often made the food ahead of time and are just reheating it--so--the best way to get less oily Indian food is to make it yourself--there are tons of recipe books and websites out there--Good Luck:)

the reputation that indian food is very oily is something that indian restaurants have to fight against in europe and the us.
it this figure conscious generation that is making a huge difference in the way indian food is prepared.
indian chefs are using less and less oil and fat without compromising on the taste

Can be and can be not. Like snacks that are salty are mostly oily. My family is very careful of what we eat. Stuff for like dinner is not oily.

It can be, but that depends entirely on how much oil, ghee and coconut cream and ordinary cream you put in. It can also be very healthy, just use less of the above.
