I am in 7th grade, can anyone tell me more about lung cancer? I know the obvious stuff, like that he got it from smoking and that he has to get chemo...please don't scare me!!thanks.

Well chances are he didn't get it recently, it can take years for a tumor to form so he's probably had it for a while. A lot of websites have some really good information. you're going to have to be strong for him and most importantly don't forget to tell him you love him all the time!

Lung cancer is not necessarily caused by smoking. It can be caused by a work environment and other factors. He will have chemotherapy and just to let you know, this will make him weak and his hair will fall out. These are side effects. Don't be afraid of your grandpa's diagnosis. Talk to your parents and be open with them. There is a site called the American Cancer Society. If you like, have your parents see if there is a support group in your area for kids dealing with cancer in the family.My husband has non small cell lung cancer. theres lots to know, im goin through it right now.
But the best thing to do cause i dont want to scare you is either talk to your grandpa about it or read the information online

If chemo doesn't work, tell him he can try emu oil gel caps, emu oil kills cancer cells and is safe to take.
