Do you have any kind of evidence, or is it something emotional?

As predicted, a lot of "the Bible says so, so it's true."

Never mind that as a historical document the Bible is highly suspect. Never mind that it has been edited and added to ever since its cration. Never mind that the earliest versions of it were written decades after the fact. Never mind that there is no evidence that:

a) the Bible is the word of God.
b) the Bible is literally true.
c) the events described within actually happened at all.

I will not accept such notions on "faith". Such "faith" is how con men make their living and cults get such control over their members.

Yes, He arose from the grave and after 40 days He ascended into heaven.
As Christians we can be absolutely sure that Jesus was dead, the Roman executioners attested to that, the Jewish leaders attested to that, and Jesus' disciples attested to that. We can be absolutely sure about the resurrection, Roman and Jewish historians like Josephus have attested to that, and over 500 eye witnesses saw Him alive again after the 3rd day with no refutation of their claims. We can be sure He ascended into heaven as well based on the credibility of the previous witnesses who attested to the other facts. So yes we can be absolutely sure concerning the teachings of the Bible, more sure than Alexander the Great existed, more sure that Plato existed, more sure than we are of many, many historical events, simply because of the evidence we have.

The guy below me who claims that the Bible is a highly disputed historical document doesn't know what he's talking about. There is no reputable historian that disputes the historicity of the Bible, however there are fringe groups like the "Jesus Seminar" that disputes the historicity of the Bible, but then again the "Jesus Seminar" decides what is true by colored beads, and by what they "feel" might be true.
There are other primary sources that prove the historicity of the Bible such as Tacitus, and Josephus, as well as others. There is more historical evidence for the Bible than there is for Alexander the Great, Plato, Ceasar, and many other historical events and figures that we simply accept as historical. The first versions were written in the lifetimes of those who claimed to be eyewitnesses of the events it portrays, not like the first accounts of Alexander the great that were written over a hundred years after his death (close to 500 actually) and those early manuscripts that have been found, when translated match up very well with todays modern translations. The only differences being moderate grammatical differences.
Those who dispute the Bible do so on emotional grounds, not factual, or historical grounds.
We could ask those who have posted responses, "Are you absolutely sure Jesus didn't rise from the dead and ascend into heaven? If so, what do you base those claims upon? Are they emotional?"
True historians may not necessarily believe all that the Bible has to say, but they do not deny the historicity of the Bible.

I'll believe it when I see it with my own eyes. Why is it that all these things happened and are recorded in a book, yet we have not seen anything remotely close in our lifetime and there has been no recording's of anything like this happening in the past hundred's of years!

Immaculate Conception! Please! Give me a break!

If a girl was on the media saying this the first thing people would think is she was a loosy goosy and a liar.

If a prophet came forward to speak of his conversations with God he would be in an institution in a matter of half an hour with a locked hold.

God would know this. God would know that in a time of religious turmoil like this, people would need to see some divine intervention to restore their faith.

So I do not believe anyone rose from the dead, unless they were buried alive and managed to get out.

As for rising to the sky again I'll believe it when I see it.

Good Question!

Right on!

He rose from the dead. Later He ascended into heaven. So says the bible and the fathers of the church, the councils, the creeds, etc. What more proof do you want? You could ask Him yourself.

There is no evidence. It's an emotional thing.

The Bible says so, and therefore I'm absolutely sure. If He didn't, our faith would be in vain. (Christians, that is). I know from "impossible prayers" being answered (mine, not just hear-say), that Jesus IS the living, risen, Son of God. Hallelujah!! May God bless you, too.

The Bible says that He ascended into the Heavens which is, from where you are standing or sitting, UP. To ascend means to go up, Saint Almost.

Jesus (pbuh) was not executed on the cross!
he rose in to the sky and was secured from death by god.
and he is not responsible of our sins nor he died for us nor anyone else!
he is the massenger of god!
and the christians will not stop arguing whether jesus is god or the son of god!

Jesus went into heaven, not the sky, heaven as the place of God's presence, another plane of existence, or another dimention.
