Does anyone know what the hotel on-base at Fort Jackson, SC is like? Or what the cost is? Is it better to stay off-base? My son is graduating from BT in March. Thanks!!

My son graduated there in 2003, we stayed at Holiday Inn off base. Tell your son we are very proud of him and we'll support him thru thick and thin. God Bless both of you.

the chances of you being able to stay there are about zero. Most On base lodging facilites are for people PCSing in and out, very seldom can people make Space A reservations, especially at training bases.

unless you are an ID holder in your own right, only your son would be able to make reservations for you.

I don't think you can stay in billeting unless you hold a military I.D. I would recommend staying off base. Its much nicer but book a room in advance.
