I've shot both. I'd give handling points to the Glock over the Sig. Sig is a nicer looking weapon, style points to Sig. No real difference in sights and accuracy, both are more accurate than most shooters. From the stand point of "tools", the Sig seems more refined, the Glock is a block. For the money, the Glock is less expensive and yet provides as much reliability as the Sig. If you are just looking for a reliable, cost effective tool then the Glock is best. If you want a little more panache, then go with the Sig.

Which is better, a Glock of a Sig? Why?
Both are excellent handguns. The Glock, however, is more user friendly, available in more calibers (specifically the .45 GAP and the .10mm), has higher ammo capacity than the Sig, and each pull of the trigger is exactly the same on the Glock. Additionally, the polymer frame of the Glock absorbs a lot of the recoil.
My vote goes to the Glock.

Personally, I'd go with the Sig. Better built and not striker fired. You can't coock a Glock to make the trigger pull lighter and Glocks have a loooong trigger pull that is not very light. Sigs cost more but you get a high quality pistol. Glock would be my last choice.

Depends on personal preference. Both guns are extremely reliable with good accuracy. There are advantages to each pistol.
The Glock is availabe in more calibers and a good varitey of sizes.
I prefer the Sig Sauer because it has an exposed hammer and is has a light and short trigger pull whereas every shot of the Glock has a hard trigger pull.

A glock but only because of the polygonal (hex for 9/357/40/10 and octo for .45) barrels and durable frames. A completely German-made SigSauer 220/225/226/228 will kick a glocks butt on accuracy, but the SigArms 229/239 series leaves a lot to be desired in this category.

I am partial to Glocks, because of personal preference, but the Sigs are top quality weapons. Glocks cost in the vicinity of $500, Sigs cost in the vicinity of $700 plus.

A pen and a microphone are better weapons than any gun.
