Yes. its a good idea to have two small dogs. big dogs are too active, but can have companions, but small dogs, i think, live a better life with another dog there. BEWARE: when they get old, and one passes away, the other may get very lonely. he may pass away too. but whatever you do, when one passes away, dont try to get another one to replace it as a friend for the other.

My husband and I just got 2 puppies. 2 Siberian Huskies. I'm not too sure about you and your wife, but my husband is in the army, he works long days so its just me with them at home. They are a handful. I've never had a Boston Terrier so I'm not sure how playful they are, but sometimes I'm glad we got 2 because they play together a lot and it makes night time better. So, there are pros and cons to it. It might be better if you get adult dogs though. We might have been better to get adult dogs instead of babies.

You will probably be overwhelmed with one dog so I would not recommend getting two. You two should be enough company for the dog at home and you can always go to a dog park or let him play with friends dogs. Later on once you've mastered the challenge of one day you can think about getting another.

Two dogs is not double the work - it's more like quadruple the work! However, if you are up for it, getting two dogs is an excellent plan. They will keep each other company when you're at work & will play together so you don't have to constantly entertain them.
Anytime I breed a litter of puppies to show, I always keep at least two. It makes things much easier!

Try one first. Boston's have so much energy I think you will be surprised at how full your hands will be. Just because they are little doesn't mean they are easier to care for. See how your one dog does on his own. If after awhile you feel that he really needs a friend you can go find one that suits him best.

Yes, get two dogs. Your wife can train one dog and you the other. The two dogs together will wear themselves out, so bedtime will be easy. They will also have a companion and instead of tearing up stuff they will play. I have a male schnauzer, age two, and his half sister age six months (she has been spayed). They play and lay together all day. She also learns from him.

I have always had two dogs and it seems to work out the best. They play together which tires them quickly, they amuse each other when you are busy and not around. My dogs are completely inseperable and are the best of friends.

Two dogs are alot of work. Its nice when dogs have a playmate. We have 3, I wish we were smarter and only stuck with one. It's too late for me, but you can still think it over!!
Good Luck
