i'm friends with a guy that's 17 and i'm 15. i am so confused. i have been friends with him for almost 2 years now. this is what happens: he flirts with me (laughs at my jokes, asks me questions, gives me eye contact, listens to me, and jokes with me.) every time we talk. once i asked him for his number and told me he doesn't have a phone. once he wrote in my yearbook "you're a great friend, thanks for your help, and i hope i keep seeing you". i know he said i'm a great friend but i'm not sure if he likes me as more than a friend and i never saw him talk to other girls but talks to his guy friends. help me.

I would think that from your explanation, the guy likes you but either doesn't want to date you. The possibility is there that he does want to date you but is afraid of what some people might say. Either way you look at it, you deserve someone that will love you openly without any guessing on your part.

Maybe he's shy, or is wondering the same thing about you. He could be thinking "I've been friends with her for so long, if I try to go for more then she'll hate me..." or something like that. Here's what you do - we'll call him "Mike" .... you say next time you see him and youi're talking and laughing... you say, "Mike - I love hanging out with you. We always have such a great time." He'll agree of course. Look at him and tell him that you really like him, and move a little close to him (as if you're meeting 1/2 way for a kiss). If he comes towards you, kiss him. If he doesn't, then just come right out and say, "lately I've been having feelings for you... I was wondering if you have the same..." I bet he's just shy and needs you to get the ball rolling.

He may feel you're a little young for him yet. He may really like you, but doesn't want it to get anywhere right now.
You will know he likes you for a girl friend when he calls you and asks you out. He isn't doing that, is he?
So don't push it....the day may come...but not necessarily now....or wait for some special event like a prom and invite him if you want....but it's a two-way thing. Until he shows he wants a girl friend, just be friends......it may happen later and what's the hurry?

just sorta take it slow with jhim.he seems to like u.but guys are shy sometimes when it comes to that stuff.so if u flirt back he'll get the message.maybe if u give him time he will move further
