wouldnt it be best if you knew as much as possible about your opponent. So I need a christian to tell what they know about the devil besides he is evil and a liar.

That is an excellent question.
Your right we must know as much as possible about Satan the Devil.
One thing I must say here, the devil knows his death is soon in Gods time. So even if you come on the devils side he don't care about you, as long as you are destroyed along with him and his cohorts...the demons.
He uses all kinds of methods to trap people on his side...he knows us from the beginning.
He studies us humans and uses his demons to do most of his work. bottom line, war, revenge, hate and the love for power us humans are sucked into.

The Devil is about the same level as an Arch Angel. I do not deal with him directly. Without Jesus I can do nothing. I will ask GOD to deal with him. If you seek Satan you will find him. I seek Jesus and I find him. Then I am in a much better position for warfare.
Satan has access to Heaven and seems to be our accuser before GOD. Sort of an unholy prosecutor. But we have a great lawyer. The Son of GOD himself.

Well the Devil is a fallen angel and wants most of all to turn God's greatest work - man - against Him. So he works by deception, tempting people, spreading discord amongst people, and generally leading people into sin, which distances us from God.

He has influence in many ways like the people who are about to say he is not real which is a lie.He tries to keep us in bondage by habits that keep us away from God.He is going to hell with the rest of nonbelievers. God will be victorious and Jesus blood gives us victory over him.He tries to keep us from getting close to god lies in different forms saying false things so you believe in something that God didnt teach.
