I am looking for a recipe or variation to rice crispy treats. Years ago a friend of mine used Jello (flavored gelatin) to flavor and color rice crispy treats. Does anybody have an idea of how to add it and how much to add to a normal recipe of treats? Please help!!! Thanks

"the krispy treats are just how you make them, then ma always just put a box of sugar free jello in with the marshmellows before adding the rice. I know during Valentines day, she used to make them by melting like a cup of cinnamon imperials with the marshmellow and it made cinnamon flavored treats!! They are REALLY good too!! " I cannot answer it myself so I copied and pasted an answer that a friend email me...ENJOY

According to how much flavor you want...add either half or a the whole 3 oz pkg of jello to the melted marshmallows before adding the rice krispies. You can also use food coloring if you don't want to change the flavor of the treats. Just add your food coloring to the melted marshmallows before adding the rice krispies. :)

There actually is a brand called Krispy Treats
they have.. Marshmellow flavour, Strawberry,
Yogurt, Coconut Creme, Banana, Grape, Rasberry, sourlemon, and jujube style.
The jujube ones are probably gelatin ones.
U might find Krispy Treats on the internet.
I get mine from Safeway stores in Canada
