my friend had this bf and they said they were in love, but my other friend said they might think that they are in love but actually only love each other. and i dont really get that. but now im dating a guy who ive none for 4 years and we love each other so much!! but what my friend said about my other friend and her bf got to me. are we in love or do we just love each other. and not just that i dont even know the difference! HELP ME!!

When you love someone it means that you really care about them. Just because you "love" him doesn't mean that your not going to "fall in love" with him. It takes time it doesn't just happen. When your in love, it means you can't go a day without talking to them and that you want to spend the rest of your life with them and can't see yourself without them. Theres nothing wrong with just "loving" each other because falling in love takes time.

The real question is, do you really know each other enough that you know that you actually love the person that you are with (instead of just being in love with an ideal that you have in your head)?

Love, real love is gained through maturity and comittment. How old are you. You may not like this, but most people below the age of 20-22 have no idea who they are, what they want and no idea what true love is. What you are talking about is infatuation and there is a BIG difference. enjoy life, enjoy your relationships for what they are. But don't mistake true love, which is a life time comittment for infatuation or lust which only lasts for awhile.

I think there is a huge difference between being "in love" and just "loving" someone. To me being in love is when you can not stop thinking about this person. They totally consume your thoughts. You miss them constantly. Want to make them happy and share your inner most thoughts with this person. Totally and completely giving yourself to this person.
Loving someone is you are content with this person but not totally craving them and constantly being with them. You enjoy your time with them but it is not a necessity for you. If that makes any sense but is my 2 cents for the day! Good Luck sweetie. Go with your heart if you think you are in love them you are if you think you just love him then so be it. But only you really know how you feel!

You can love alot of people in your life time. But when you are in love with a person, it means you want to share the rest of your life with that one person. You love them, and you are so much in love with them that they will be your partner for ever.
