Preaching is a proclamation of; to proclaim the gospel. It is the heralding of good news. It is like a runner coming to the camp and announcing how the battle was going whether we won or lost.

Teaching is to instruct or examine the details of. This is used to educate people of the faith. Here one would take people through the scriptures and examine passages in light of what was preached (Proclaimed) to them.

The Preaching: God has reconciled sinners to Himself by Jesus who died for our sins. Repent (Turn) from all you are trusting in. Your works are all sins and give you no peace but God has given us peace with God through His son, God in the flesh who is the Lord Jesus the Christ of God.

The Teaching: He was the promise Given by God in Geniuses. After man fell God said that the Seed of the woman would bruise the serpents head. This seed is the Christ of God and the Christ of God is God Himself revealed in the flesh. It is Jesus.to whom all the law and the prophets testify. None gave true deliverance, none gave true rest. Moses delivered Israel from bondage but they were still slaves to sin, Joshua did not give men rest from warfare and see it still goes on today. Jesus is our rest and victor and has won for us life everlasting through faith in His name.

i'm one among Jehovah's Witnesses. I keep on with the Christ as my non secular chief. All my beliefs are depending on the bible, and not in any respect on guy-made doctrines nor those that are in line with pagan or mythological religions. Pagan and mythological beliefs which includes the trinity and hellfire. Matthew 16:13-16 John 20:30,31 Psalm eighty 3:18 Deuteronomy 6:4 Jeremiah 7:31 Revelation 20:14 Romans 6:23

Well, yes, but there is no point in trying to totally separate the two. No preaching should be without some teaching, and no teaching should be without some exhortation to do well, and be accepted by YHVH!

Yes....Ephesians 4: 11 Pastors AND Teachers. They are very different. You might have the gift to teach bible study, but that doesn't mean that you can pastor a whole church. Two different gifts. I hope this helps.

I don't think so....teaching would come from personal experience-from knowing!
Seems like the Bible is a set of doctrines, unproven most the time, that one is supposed to believe by having faith...

--This text shows the distinction of the two:

(Matthew 4:23) “23 Then he went around throughout the whole of Gal´i·lee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news of the kingdom and curing every sort of disease and every sort of infirmity among the people. . .”

--Preaching is described by Jesus as the initial contact, with & without interest in his teachings being developed:

(Matthew 10:11-14) “11 “Into whatever city or village YOU enter, search out who in it is deserving, and stay there until YOU leave. 12 When YOU are entering into the house, greet the household; 13 and if the house is deserving, let the peace YOU wish it come upon it; but if it is not deserving, let the peace from YOU return upon YOU. 14 Wherever anyone does not take YOU in or listen to YOUR words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off YOUR feet.”

It could be said that Jesus just preached warning and judgements to the religious leaders, they indeed were not teachable.

--Note how unteachable they were:

(John 5:39-44) “39 “YOU are searching the Scriptures, because YOU think that by means of them YOU will have everlasting life; and these are the very ones that bear witness about me. 40 And yet YOU do not want to come to me that YOU may have life. 41 I do not accept glory from men, 42 but I well know that YOU do not have the love of God in YOU. 43 I have come in the name of my Father, but YOU do not receive me; if someone else arrived in his own name, YOU would receive that one. 44 How can YOU believe, when YOU are accepting glory from one another and YOU are not seeking the glory that is from the only God?”

--Note how firm he was, that it could have a reproof and maybe shake a few of them to their senses:

(Matthew 12:33-37) “33 “Either YOU people make the tree fine and its fruit fine or make the tree rotten and its fruit rotten; for by its fruit the tree is known. 34 Offspring of vipers, how can YOU speak good things, when YOU are wicked? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 The good man out of his good treasure sends out good things, whereas the wicked man out of his wicked treasure sends out wicked things. 36 I tell YOU that every unprofitable saying that men speak, they will render an account concerning it on Judgment Day; 37 for by your words you will be declared righteous, and by your words you will be condemned.””

(Matthew 23:13-15) “13 “Woe to YOU, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because YOU shut up the kingdom of the heavens before men; for YOU yourselves do not go in, neither do YOU permit those on their way in to go in. 14 —— 15 “Woe to YOU, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because YOU traverse sea and dry land to make one proselyte, and when he becomes one YOU make him a subject for Ge·hen´na twice as much so as yourselves.”

--Note now please his teaching to those who wished to learn:

(Matthew 5:1-12) “5 When he saw the crowds he went up into the mountain; and after he sat down his disciples came to him; 2 and he opened his mouth and began teaching them, saying: 3 “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them. 4 “Happy are those who mourn, since they will be comforted. 5 “Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth. 6 “Happy are those hungering and thirsting for righteousness, since they will be filled. 7 “Happy are the merciful, since they will be shown mercy. 8 “Happy are the pure in heart, since they will see God. 9 “Happy are the peaceable, since they will be called ‘sons of God.’ 10 “Happy are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them. 11 “Happy are YOU when people reproach YOU and persecute YOU and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against YOU for my sake. ..

--Many wanted wanted more information and he indeed explained these matters through comparisons, illustrations, expanded teaching.

(Matthew 7:28-29) “28 Now when Jesus finished these sayings, the effect was that the crowds were astounded at his way of teaching; 29 for he was teaching them as a person having authority, and not as their scribes. . .”

--They did not listen with hardend hearts, thus they could get benefits from his expounding.

--Thus when they understood enough such as the Ethopian note the result:

(Acts 8:30-31) “30 Philip ran alongside and heard him reading aloud Isaiah the prophet, and he said: “Do you actually know what you are reading?” 31 He said: “Really, how could I ever do so, unless someone guided me?” And he entreated Philip to get on and sit down with him.”......34 In answer the eunuch said to Philip: “I beg you, About whom does the prophet say this? About himself or about some other man?” 35 Philip opened his mouth and, starting with this Scripture, he declared to him the good news about Jesus...

There are indeed many other examples in which preaching can act as a separator between mockers and those with honest hearts--- then teaching methods of Christ can be incorporated to help those who want and love the truth.
