Leg swelling can be due to a variety of conditions. You should see a doctor. Some of the possibilities are:
Congestive Heart Failure
Deep venous thrombosis
Venous Insufficiency
Lymphedema
Injuries
Infections
Dependent edema
Kidney failure
Some of these problems are life-threatening and some a merely an annoyance. Get checked out.

You didn't tell me ANYTHING about yourself, or even your age, so all I can do is tell you that if your legs are 'swollen' and you haven't had a recent injury to your legs to account for it, you need to see a doctor ASAP. You could be simply 'retaining water' because of the 'time of the month' (if you are female), or your 'swollen legs' could be a sign that you have high blood pressure. SEE A DOCTOR ASAP. He'll be able to 'help you' fix this problem.

If you legs are swollen you obviously are retaining fluids. You need to go the doctor and find out what is going on and get this treated. Go to urgent care or ER and get this checked out as circulatory problems can be serious.

are they both the same size? if one is bigger , it could mean a blood clot..?...go to ER or doctor for this one.
If red and bubbly could be an infection...or even if just red..still could be...go to ER or see a doctor for this one.
Could be congestive heart failure...go to ER or see a doctor about this one.
Or kidney failure...go to ER or see a doctor for this one.
Could be you spent too many hours on your feet or sitting at the computer on yahoo answers?
Try to prop your feet up on an ottoman when sitting. Limit time on your feet daily..Put a pillow under your calves when in bed (with the feet dangling off the pillow...this helps gravity to get the blood back to your heart..
It could be other things too...(see the list from Jeffery P above)

Could be a lot of reasons. You could have been eating too much salt lately. If you haven't been active, that sometimes causes your legs to swell. If you're young and it's just a little, don't worry. If you're older, see your doctor, there are a lot of medical reasons for your legs to swell and some are serious.

Perhaps too much sodium, or back injury.
