Am totally new to the whole dating thing,This guy contacted me on match.com before christmas and we messaged each other, but I couldn't meet up for a while as I had exams on. Then this teusday we met up at a coffee shop and seemed to get on/have a good time, and he gave me a lift home afterwards and said we should do it again and to 'give him a bell'. So I texted him ('Hey, how are you doing?') on Thursday and he still hasn't texted back. I am confused, surely we have been texting since before xmas and would need to meet up more than jus the one time to see what each other is like? Should I text him again now, see what is going on with him? or, is he trying to play hard to get? have been gettin v confused...! ..aarrgh..!lol, pls help:)!

Ive done alot of dating and I have ome aross this alot actually just happened again the other week. Had a amn take me out for a lovely dinner and then we walked around and then went and got desert....we laughed and talked all night long, then he sent me a text the next day telling me how a great a time he had.....and....havnt heard from him since!!! LOL !! To us women that just doesnt make sense...but I have a feeling men can just enjoy an evening or a coffee with a lovely woman and simply not want to take it any further for various reasons.
People will say to contact him and then see if he bites but in my opinion any male keen enough will contact you if he is interested......so I would say just leave it with him, keep dating others and dont worry too much....NEXT!! Oh by the way it isnt a reflection on you.....he probably just didnt feel it!!

I dunno know what 'give him a bell' means... but if it means give him a call, then maybe you should call him. Other than that, maybe text again in a day or two. If he doesn't respond then don't worry about it. Lots of reasons why that could be. And besides I never take it personally if a guy doesn't call me back. (yes it has happened, lol) It's not a diss to you, it just means he knew you all weren't compatible or whatever, and there's really no since in wasting time if he already knew, ya know? But it is kinda rude for him to not tell you that. Oh well, some guys (and girls) think that they are being nice by ignoring you, but really they are just being hurtful, NOT to mention opening themselves up for stalkers. That's why I'll straight up tell a guy anymore.

Looks like he lost interest on your first encounter.
Don't worry, this has happened to me a couple of times and it's not the end of the world He didn't reply to your text for the simple reason that he's not interested the quicker you accept this the faster you'll come to terms with it and move on. Live your life and don't wait around for someone who's obviously not worthed your time.
Good luck : )

I would text back because you never kno...he might have been busy and read it but didn't have a chance to write back. Text once more and then leave it to him. If you do it too many times then you may be considered 'desprate' so just let him make the next move...thats what i would do...good luck to ya both!!!

It could be:

1) He never got your text
2) He lost/broke his phone ( I did this a week after I met my boyfriend and had to tell all his friends in the pub to get them to get him to call me on my home number)
3) Maybe he had a good time but the chemistry just wasnt there for him.

Text him again to give him the benefit of the doubt incase he genuinly didnt get it, if he doesnt reply then dont contact him again, plenty more fish in the sea!

I'm not sure what to think. I would not text him again. I might suggest that you try giving him a call, but don't try to hard. You don't want him to think you are desperate. Good luck to you.

It just might be something as simple as your texts aren't getting through, my husband and I had that problem once, and it was the actual phone. Why don't you try calling him the old fashioned way. Maybe he'll say "oh I'm so glad you called, my phone has been fried lately" blah, blah, blah.......

He may have decided you're not the girl for him, and was just being polite. Or, you may just be busy. Be patient, and see if he contacts you in the next week or so. If not, give up, and move on.
