We're attracted to foreign countries simply because we either want better opportunities for ourselves (and or/ future generations) or are curious about the cultures of other countries. At least that's how I feel. And anyway, it's certainly not because India looks "ugly", for those of you who stated something like that in your answers. Besides, my parents were born there, and even though I was born in America, I still love going to India. I'm very attracted to it. Ever thought of it that way?

indians have tht craze for 'phoren ' still!
the bad payments in india....probably is one of the reasons for this attraction for foreign countries. it is not just india but people from all developing countries do have this attraction.
the reason could be the exploitation by the employers .
very low salary scales are offered and the tough competetion and unemployment makes people accept these meagre salaries..
it's for the simple reason of better payments abroad when compared to india people opt to work aroad.
but how many of those living abroad spend and live as per the life style of tht particular country?
they compromise...simplify life styles...save every penny.
tht is good in one way too..bcz their going abroad is bcz of the wish to make more dough!
but they earn at certain compromises of life such as staying away from family in some cases....visit their families only during vacation.
they slog the rest of the time leading a lonely life...
so is it really worth it?
and though not many admit it....ultimately they all do miss home.....india?

India is an over-populated country which needs development. I live in India & I know its situation. Here due to over population less opportunities are being given to less educated ones & highly one get foreign jobs. Many people say that Indians are attracted towards foreign countries but it isn't true. Every one expects his/her better future, Most of the Indians are highly literate. They get better job opportunities in IT industry etc there in foreign. They expect for better future there. But this is not the situation of everyone. Many people who top IITs , IIMs etc. reject the foreign offers & stay in India for the development of their country. I too wanna become one of them.

India has a lot of highly educated, skilled and ambitious people. It also suffers from over population. If you were an ambitious Indian who knew you could make a better liveing in another country, what would you do?

Majority of those ...
Indians are not having dignity.
They get abused, remain there just for money and material life. Shilpa Shetty is best example, who must have quit immediately from show.
Very few get real appreciation for there talent abroad.
Even they do not feel that wealth and beauty is not the ultimate.
If your mother is not beautiful and wealthy as if any actress, It is your duty to make her life more beautiful, as she has reared you with many hardships.
they get highest educations from govt institutions and flee away for money, money and only money. very few come back to serve thee nation.

hey sunaina
indians are attracted to foreign countries because of the small populations in other countries like in the west for example.
competing with 1 billion other indians for simple things like university seats, water, electricity, vegetables etc can be pretty tiring for many.
so in addition to birth control, the only other way for us to reduce our population (our biggest menace) is for those who can to go and live abroad and make their babies abroad !
