Bread isnt always square and baloney isnt always round. You need to get out more and stop shopping at the local supermaket. Is a french loaf square and is squashed baloney round ?
I would take a few holidays to exotic destinations and discover the world, there is more to it than bread and baloney but if thats all that you question you are very lucky.

Bread is baked in a bread pan which is square, and the bumps on the side are from when the batter flows past the edges. I have no idea how bologna is made.

Bread is baked in square pans while bologna meat is shot out of a round tube. "Natural casing" means it is shot into boiled intestines which tkae on a normally roundish shape.
