I am searching for a location that I can set up my tent, do a bit of fishing, some hiking, and hopefully not be too close to other campers.

Mohican is the best camping area I've ever heard of. It's near Loudenville.

Here's a website and map with clickable links to dozens of Ohio's State Parks with camp grounds and some primitive backpacking sites. http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/parks/facilitiesmaps/ohiocamping.htm

Here's the page for Mohican SP: http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/parks/parks/mohican.htm
And Burr Oak SP:

not far fron cincanatti is a place called the Red River Gorge in kentucky.... it's awesome.. great camping, great trails, great climbing.. there's a lake if that's your thing... there are tons of natural arches in the gorge.. even a wilderness area that's great for backpacking if you want the best solitude....

not very familiar with ohio..
