this happen after i get microsoft internet explorer says it caused this and presently there is no fix .....tells me to search for updates which i do and there is no critical updates ...i have windows 98se ..then i get program has preformed an illegal operation and will shut down.. have run spybot,adware se and have AVG and still get this shut down 5 or 6 times a day usually when i close out internet explorer to go to another site...under info it says iexplore invalid page fault in module shdocvw.dll help

KEEP YOUR UPDATES RUNNING. DO YOUR DISK CLEANUP...DEFRAGS... AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE SHUTTING DOWN YOUR COMPUTER RIGHT WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED WITH IT... IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS THEN YOU NEED TO REINSTALL WINDOWS. SORRY AND GOOD LUCK

Windows 98se is a little like working on a model T ford. (hard to get parts.) I vaguely remember that very problem. I made me crazy. So I upgraded and no more problem. Sorry. Good luck.

carry out a 'chkdsk' to chek for any actual mistakes that would forestall a report from interpreting the content cloth. examine wht software is causing the explorer to crash replace that software and issues will paintings effective. Cheers !!!a million
