Hi there, I have worked with homeless people in the past about 2 years ago. Shortly after that i had this pain that went down my back and then had some severe chills the same night. Went to bed and woke up with urinary symptoms that were really bad. So i went to a doctor and he gave me antibiotics which didn't really help much. Since then I have had all the tests done. blood tests urine tests and a cystcopy. And now i have a low burning back pain that has been there almost the whole time. It never goes away day or night. I have abdominal tenderness as well. Could this possibly be extra TB considering i have had an x ray of my chest?

Did your doctor give you a PPD skin test, its a test for TB. Its where the doctor or nurse inject it just below the skin. They have you come back in about three days later and check the results. If you have TB or if you have ever been exposed to TB the area will become red, hot and swollen. I have seen them as big around as a quarter and raise up about a half an inch tall.

Get the test and that should tell you weather or not you've been exposed to TB. We were tested each year at my place of employment.

TB? That is a respiratory disease and has nothing to do with urinary symptoms or urine. TB is usually tested for using a skin scraping test, not blood or urine, anyway. Back pain has nothing to do with TB. From what you describe it actually sounds like an STD to me, specifically a somewhat advanced case of syphillis, due to the lower abdomen and urinary nature of the symptoms. Many people carry diseases like Herpes Simplex and Syphillis for years without symptoms or even knowing they have the disease and some people never exhibit classic symptoms. However, these can develop to very serious conditions!

First thing don't panic our minds play the worst scenarios.
TB ;Tubercle Bacilli infection is by inhalation of a droplet nuclei which has been coughed up by someone with active pulmonary disease.
IT can be found in the lungs, lymph nodes, kidneys, vertebrae,CNS
Most big cities have a TB clinics in their public hospitals.
Go there get checked out by the people who know what to look for and what test to do. What ever the results you will be ok it is fear that does the damage.
You will be fine
