Buffalo NY-14203 to Toronto - immigration?

Hi

I am visitng Buffalo fromLondon to get my canadian residence permit and once I ger that I am planning to enter canada to validate my visa.

Can I travel by bus or train from Buffalo to Toronto. How does the immigration check happen when crossing the border into canada? Will I be able to validate my residence permit?

I'm not too sure how all that works, but you should probably check out both US and Canadian Immigration to see if your allowed to cross the border. Here's both websites.....
