I bought it really cheap recently for £380 from eBay, it's obviously worth more, and I'm very reluctant to sell it, however I'm moving abroad for six months so there's no point keeping it!

It has tax and MOT until August, the insurance is very cheap, the outside of the car is very nice, the inside is a little tatty but no problem, there's no rust or anything showing and it's a nice little car!

How much shall I sell it for? Some people have suggested £600 but I'm not sure if I can get it.

Also whats the best way to sell it?

Depends on the mileage. If its low you should get your £600 easily, if its over 80,000 you probably wont.

I think £600 is a bit optimistic. Just sold an n reg corsa with same tax and test at £500. Id pitch it at £450 as you wont be losing money and what you paid isn't far off right.

Your local paper is the best for these kind of things. Mine went 2 hours after the ad went out. Small cars are popular.

Clean the car up a little and it could be advertised at around £499 but no more, advertising costs money and it can eat up your profit, i would suggest selling this car at the side of a busy road. People are always looking for cheap run abouts.

Honestly your looking at approx £500, it depends on the mileage and condition, at the end of the day its worth what someones prepared to pay for it, best bet is have a look at Auto Trader and compare prices, the value will also depend on location. Sell privately if you can as generally you get more money for it, unless a garage has got a deal on where they will give you say a grand px no matter what car it is

your local paper is a good way to advertise or if you have a local trader yard ask if they will sell it for you i can only give you what they are going for in my neck of the woods i would be looking for around £450:00p.I have a number of clients i sell for i usually take around 15% of the total sell on price I have agood turnover of older cars but will only take genuine cars .in my trade you do get some fly-by nights so you have to be on he ball.

Have a look on the autotrader website.enter your car details in the search bit and you might find the same car you have. then you can see how much other people are trying to sell theirs for

Why would you want to get more money, it appears you got a bargain.....so do the decent thing and "pay it forward" give someone else a good deal like you did. You will feel better for it. Good luck overseas.
