A couple of points, if I may:
First, nothing is "rediculous." A number of things are "ridiculous," which is based on the Latin word "ridere" which means "to laugh." It suggests that something is so absurd as to be laughable.
Second: It has been suggested that the phrase "pillar of salt" was used to describe a barren woman.

I am not an atheist but I do find some of the stories in the old testament to be a little far fetched. However, we are supposed to believe with faith and so i do believe these stories with my heart but my scientific mind says that many of them may have been cultural stories to explain current events or the story of Adam and Eve is definitely a creationist story---
As a sociologist, I have found parallels in many different culture's stories with that of the bible.
As a christian, i believe that parts of the old testament starting with Abraham are true.. and that the new testament is true.

I like the story, when God said that a lot of believer's will turn there back on him during the end times. Whats even more rediculous is he predicted this even before atheistism was even a word, and when religion ruled the world. It's so rediculous that he predicted this, it's even more rediculous that it came TRUE.

I am a deist. I believe the story of Noah to be the most comical. Come on! The Lord will flood the whole earth. YEA RIGHT! Water covered Mt. Everest. YEA RIGHT!!!!!!
Also, Jesus so called virgin birth. if he was the only virgin birth, it may have had some validity. Since his is one of very many such births, I know it is pure fiction.

Gotta love an "Atheist" that can't spell & puts it in CAPS...
Dude, maybe you should have went to Catholic school & got yourself a real education. Anyway, it's called "faith". I'm sure you believe in something "farfetched". Quit picking on the those that have faith & direct your negative garbage elsewhere. You could do something positive with your bashing & use that energy where needed.
