I may be wrong, but are you referring to when Jesus was brought before the Govenor, and was asked if He was the Son of God - and Jesus answered: "thou hast said". ?
If thats what you mean, this is the answer:
(by the way, this is a really cool question)
During that entire event of being arrested, Jesus said hardly nothing, and the reason is because as all the others spoke, including the Govenor, Pilate, the Chief Priest, etc. - they were all saying it for Jesus - the reason Jesus would only say "thou hast said" or "thou sayest" was because they were all fulfilling the prophecies of 1000 years before, written in Psalms 22, and Jesus was actually saying, "I don't need to say anything, because it is from your very own lips that prophecy is being fulfilled, no need of my lips doing it"
In fact, when Christ was on the Cross, and He said "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" - many Christians think that was Jesus being distant of God because of the sins of the world He was taking upon Himself, etc. - but thats not accurate at all. Jesus never called God, "God", Jesus called Him "Father". What Jesus was doing on the Cross was reciting Psalms 22, in telling us that the Prohecy was being fulfilled.
Jesus did the work of His Father the entire time, even while dying on the Cross; and, he continued to do that work while in the tomb.
While still "in the tomb", Jesus went to all the people who died previous to His crucifiction, all the way back to the beginning, and also offered those people the salvation now available to everyone who believes. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been fair that only those who lived from the crucifiction on, were to be given salvation -
That would mean Noah, Elijah, Moses, etc. wouldn't have the right to salvation, and theres no way God would be unfair as that.

It wasn't necessary since God had proclaimed that Jesus was his son following the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist.
Matthew, Chapter 3
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Divine attributes are usually added later, when the religion itself is being created (I don't buy the whole walking on water and rising from the dead crap either). Jesus did refer to God as his father, but "Father" is a standard designation for God in Christianity. He never implied he was more divine than anyone else. He was a child of God and a child of Man, just like every single one of us.

1. He did say he was God.
2. In the USA presently, the word of God has been added to (and many taken away from); therefore man has accepted a wrongly divided word of God. That is part of why 'Christianity' is so divided in the USA presently.

Because Jesus, Was not the son of god. Jesus Was a prophet that DID believe in god, in the sense that he was all of our father's but it has misconcepted over the years, and the brainwashing christian world would have you believe in a whole hoopla story, that a God creature came to the earth and Allowed mortals to kill him. HOG WASH.

Here is another clear example of someone that asks or says anything without reading the Bible first. He clearly expresses that he is the son of man, the one true God....its in the Bible....you should read it sometime!

He said he was the Son of Man. How many times do I have to tell you this, people?
For example, he said "The birds have nests, and foxes have holes, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head."
He always referred to himself in the third person as "the Son of Man"
Later, wide eyed hokey dimwitted looney followers made a legend out of his life and got the idea he was the son of God, and even changed some of his words, to quote him agreeing with some quy who said "Thou art the son of the most high God!"
Such nonsense was inserted, and now church people believe he is the son of God, and some of them even claim he is God.
If Jesus could somehow come back to life, he would find all that repugnant and blasphemous.

Jesus told many times that God was his father. this kinda implies that he is Gods son.
its kinda hard to have a father, and not be the son of your father.
